Williamsport welcomes you to the 64th annual World Series. Games will begin on August 20th and continue until the championship game on August 29th.

Little League Baseball and Softball is the world’s largest organized youth sports program, with nearly 2.6 million players and 1 million adult volunteers in every U.S. state and scores of other countries. The annual World Series (11-12-year-olds) will be held in South Williamsport, Pa. (Lamade/Volunteer Stadiums).

The World Series kicks off with a Grand Slam Parade, which travels West Fourth Street in Williamsport, beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010.

Scheduled events include Parade of Champions, a street festival on West Fourth Street, and pre- and post-parade music. The Parade begins along the 1100 block of West Fourth Street and moves down West Fourth ending at Market Street. There will be more than 100 units showing their stuff along the parade route. Participants include all 16 Little League teams, floats, area marching bands, antique cars, fire trucks, military equipment and much more. Parade steps off at 6 p.m.
